About the tournament

The 18th biennial Governor Hugh L. Carey Challenge Cup pits twelve top amateurs from the Metropolitan Golf Association against Golf Ireland in Walker Cup-style team matches at Portmarnock Golf Club. This edition features expanded teams of seven men and five women competing in foursomes, four-ball, and singles matches on one of Ireland's most prestigious championship links.
