About the tournament
Formerly organized solely by the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association (WMGA), this prestigious stroke play event is now co-sanctioned by both the WMGA and the Middle Atlantic Section of the PGA of America (MAPGA). The tournament features three competitive age divisions: Dewey Ricketts (14–15 and 16–18), and the Young Amateur (19–24), with top performers vying for the coveted Dewey Ricketts Trophy.
