About the tournament

First contested in 1950 in honor of two brothers who had been killed in the World War II, the event has been held every year since inception at Shannopin Country Club and is traditionally held the first Friday in August. The championship is an 18-hole event, Chapman format, with at least one brother being a member of a WPGA Member Club. Gross and net competitions.
