About the tournament

Since 1960 the St. Louis Publinx Open has kicked off the golf season each spring at Forest Park. Played on the Redbud and Dogwood courses on the first Sunday in May, the event draws 150+ competitors including professionals, amateurs, and senior amateurs. Beyond competition, the Publinx Open gives back to the St. Louis golf community through monetary and in-kind donations to youth programs and college-scholarship initiatives, and by supporting the Evans Scholarship Foundation with caddie opportunities. Beneficiaries have included the Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association Foundation, PGA REACH Gateway, and Urban Golf of Greater St. Louis.
