Peggy Kirk Bell Junior Championship

The Peggy Kirk Bell Junior at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club is one of the signature stops on the PKBGT National Series, played across two of the most historic courses in North Carolina’s Sandhills. The Bell National and Prep Preview divisions compete at Pine Needles — site of multiple U.S. Women’s Opens — while the Futures National division tees it up at Southern Pines Golf Club.

A highlight of the winter schedule, the event offers players a professional-caliber experience on championship layouts, complete with a complimentary practice round and a strong, multi-state field. Champions in each division earn invitations to the PKBGT National Tournament of Champions, making the Peggy Kirk Bell Junior a fitting tribute to the legendary teacher and pioneer whose name it bears.

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT), an initiative of the non-profit Girls Golf of America, is the nation’s only LPGA Foundation Approved girls-only tour. Dedicated to growing participation and opportunity in junior girls golf, the PKBGT provides a structured Progression Pathway that allows players to develop at their own pace through yardage-based divisions rather than age-based groupings. The tour hosts more than 110 events annually across national and regional circuits, offering affordable, high-quality competition for girls ages 9–19. With over 1,400 alumnae advancing to collegiate programs and many competing on the LPGA and Epson Tours, the PKBGT continues to set the standard for player development, exposure, and community in junior girls golf.
