Sacramento County 2025 Women's Championship

The 55th Sacramento County Women’s Championship will be contested at Mather Golf Course on Saturday and Sunday, July 26-27, 2025.

The Championship Flight contestants must have an index of 6.6 or less and will play at scratch from the Navigator (silver) tees at about 5,550 yards.

The Handicap Division will award both Net and Gross prizes. The Handicap Division will also have a separate Senior Flight. The Senior Flight will consist of all those participants that are age 50 and up with a handicap index of 18.4 or less. Seniors with a handicap index above 18.4 will be placed in another handicap flight. The Handicap Division, including the Senior Flight, will play from the Mustang (purple) Tees at about 5,200 yards.

The winner of the Championship division will be named the 2025 Sacramento County Women’s Champion, and her name will be inscribed on a perpetual trophy. The gross winner of the Senior Flight will be named the 2025 Sacramento County Senior Women's Champion, and her name will be inscribed on a new perpetual trophy. The Low Net winner in the Handicap Division will be named the 2025 Sacramento County Women’s Handicap Champion and her name will be inscribed on a perpetual trophy.

A tie for the Championship Division, Low Gross in the Senior flight and Low Net in the Handicap division will be resolved with a playoff. All other ties will be decided based on the USGA recommended method of matching score cards.

The entry fee is $172 and includes green fees, range balls and all awards (cart fees are not included). The tournament format will be stroke-play over 36 holes - 18 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Tee times will begin at 8:06am on Saturday and 7:30am on Sunday. A tie in the championship, senior gross or net divisions will be resolved with a sudden-death playoff. All other ties will be broken using the USGA method of matching score cards.

The entry deadline is July 11, 2025, and there will be no refunds after that date. There will be a $10 cancelation fee for withdrawals prior to the entry deadline and a $25 service charge on all returned checks.
