Sacramento Valley 2023 Senior Championship

The Sacramento Golf Council and the Haggin Oaks Team are excited to host the Sacramento Valley Senior Amateur (SVSA) at the classic Alister Mackenzie GC @ Haggin Oaks on Tuesday & Wednesday, May 23-24, 2023.

The SVSA is designed for the "Top Senior Amateur Golfers in the West" with the following flights. All play will be at Gross Scores with prizes for each flight.

The $179 Entry Fee includes green fees both days, tee prize, range balls and awards. Players wishing to rent a cart will be able to do so in the pro shop for a $19 Cart Fee. All play will be in groups of three to ensure a proper pace of play. $20 practice rounds will be available for contestants after noon the 7 days prior to the event. Gift Cards will be awarded to the top finishers.

The competition will be stroke play over 36 holes (18 holes each day). Tee times will begin at 7:00am both days. Pairings will be based on Flight and index. Wednesday tee times will be repaired based on first round scores.

The players with the lowest gross total score in each division will be declared the champion of their respective flight. If a tie occurs for any of the three flights, a sudden victory playoff will commence immediately following play from the 1st tee. During online registration, players must select which flight they choose to compete in, as the tees will be different for each flight.

The Championship will be conducted using the Golf Genius Software, including communication, pairings and scoring.

The entry deadline is May 14, 2023. There will be no refunds after this date. Withdrawals prior to the entry deadline will be assessed a $10 cancellation fee.
