Women's Int'l Four Ball: Calkin/McLaughlin win it

Kelly Calkin and Kristy McLaughlin top Meghan Bolger and Jill Hardy to win the Women's International Four Ball, held at the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (Jan. 26, 2008)-- Meghan Bolger has had a rock-solid year thus far, with top-10 finishes in four straight majors, but the first victory still eludes her after Kelly Calkin and Kristy McLaughlin defeated Bolger and teammate Jill Hardy in 20 holes at the Women's International Four Ball, held at the Orangebrook Golf and Country Club.

Bolger already has a spot on the Curtis Cup after a runner-up finish at the Jones/Doherty Am, a 4th at the Sally and tie for 7th at the Harder Hall.

Calkin, who won the South Atlantic Amateur (Sally) in 2007, saw her partner McLaughlin birdie the first playoff with Bolger, then roll a 20+ foot birdie putt into the hole to take the victory.
