Prugh wins WSGA Amateur with 10 under

MOSES LAKE, WA (June 24, 2005) -- Alex Prugh of Spokane, Wash. continued his strong play carding a final round 3-under par 69 to finish at 10 under par 278 to win the 79th WSGA Men’s State Amateur Championship. In the early part of the afternoon, Prugh was given a slight scare when Josh Immordino of Bellingham, Wash. birdied two out of the first six holes he played to move within two strokes of the lead. But, Prugh turned up the heat the rest of the round making three birdies, while Immordino fell behind making two double bogies. Meanwhile, Zack Bixler of Richland, Wash. continued his strong play staying within two strokes of Prugh the entire day to finish at 8 under par 280.
