SUTTON COLDFIELD, England — The Underrated Golf European Tour will make a stop at The Belfry from May 25-27, 2026, bringing an international field of junior golfers to one of the most recognized golf venues in the United Kingdom.
The three-day event is designed to provide a positive, competitive and safe-space environment for culturally diverse male and female junior golfers. The stop at The Belfry will begin with a practice round on May 25, followed by 18-hole stroke-play rounds on May 26 and May 27.
Founded with a mission of creating greater equity, access and opportunity in golf, Underrated Golf aims to give junior players from diverse communities a platform to compete, connect and grow through the game. The European Tour gives athletes the chance to compete at a high level while building relationships within the golf community, networking with college coaches, receiving mentorship from PGA of America professionals and gaining exposure to additional opportunities in the sport.

The Belfry, located in Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham, adds a historic backdrop to the event. The resort is home to championship golf and is widely known for its Ryder Cup history, having hosted the event four times. For junior players, the week represents both a competitive test and a chance to experience one of golf’s landmark venues.
The event format includes gross scoring with no handicaps. According to Underrated Golf’s format information, winners will receive the Underrated Golf European Trophy and automatic entry into the Underrated Golf Tour Championship — the Curry Cup — in the United States.
The Belfry stop is part of Underrated Golf’s broader effort to identify and recognize talented young golfers across Europe. The tour’s mission extends beyond tournament scores, focusing on access, representation, and the long-term opportunities that golf can create both on and off the course.
