Rice Planters First Round Postponed

Last year Philip Knowles took home the title by three shots after finishing 10-under

MT. PLEASANT, SC (June 21, 2017) - Mother nature did not corporate as day one of the Rice Planters Amateur hosted by Snee Farm Country Club was washed out. The heavy rains have forced the first round of the tournament to be pushed back until 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning. The field for the 2017 edition includes among others Quade Cummins (Oklahoma), Michael Decker (Vanderbilt), Wes Artac (Texas Tech) and Wil Sheppard (2017 South Carolina commit). Last year Philip Knowles took home the title by three shots after finishing 10-under. Knowles recently concluded his sophomore year at North Florida.
