PALATKA, Fla. (March 18, 2007)-- Former Loyola (Md.) golfer and Coral Springs native T.J. Shuart stormed back from a tie for 11th place, seven strokes back on the final day of the Florida Azalea Amateur to take a one stroke victory.
Shuart trailed co-leaders Mu Hu and Ming Wang heading into the third day, but they opened the door when both stumbled with final rounds of 76 and 77, respectively.
Shuart fired a 65, combined with his 71-74 for a total of 210. It was good for a one-shot lead over Brad Stainsby, of Lakeland, who went 73-72-66--211.
