Michael Muehr of Potomac Falls, VA shot a one over par 71 in Friday's second round of qualifying at Pine Valley's Crump Memorial Tournament to win medalist honors with a score of 143. Muehr is no stranger to major tournament play, having made the Round of 32 in the 2008 U.S. Amateur at Pinehurst and winning the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Amateur
He'll face two time New Jersey amateur champ Brian Komline of Bridgewater, NJ in Saturday's first round.
Mike McCoy, an amateurgolf.com member and reigning Trans-Miss Mid-Am champ from West Des Moines, Iowa is the eleventh seed and is attempting to win his fouth Crump championship in five years.
Norman Swenson of Linville, NC and Robert Vallis of Hamilton, Bermuda shared senior medalist honors with a two round total of 151.
