Ogletree was one of the players suspended from the PGA Tour after he chose LIV Golf for its first-ever tournament in London, but after finishing last at the Centurion Club, Ogletree admitted he "kind of got the boot" from LIV following that performance which temporarily left him without a place to play.
However, his LIV status granted him an exemption for International Series events on the Asian Tour and he certainly made the most of his new opportunity. In November, he fired a final round 8-under 62 to win the Asian Tour’s International Series Egypt by four shots over Bernd Wiesberger.
If Ogletree can maintain his position atop both the Asian Tour and International Series Order of Merits, he would qualify again for LIV Golf. However, as his suspension from the PGA Tour expired on January 1, he's also eligible to play in qualifying events alongside the Korn Ferry Tour.
In 2019, Ogletree joined the immortal Bobby Jones and Matt Kuchar as the third Georgia Tech golfer to capture the U.S. Amateur when he won four of the final seven holes to earn a come-from-behind victory in the 36-hole final over Vanderbilt’s John Augenstein at Pinehurst.
He finished his amateur career No. 4 in the World Amateur Golf and Golfweek Amateur Rankings. Ogletree played on the victorious 2019 U.S. Walker Cup team and was part of the USA team which participated in the 2019 Spirit International competition. He was also named to the U.S. team for the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup in Lahinch, Ireland.
He graduated from Georgia Tech with his bachelor’s degree in business administration in May, 2020.
