Walsworth and Johnson Win MGA Senior Four-Ball
JEFFERSON CITY, KS (May 26, 2011) -- Despite the bad weather this past week, the first round of the Senior Four Ball was still able to be played at the Jefferson City Country Club. These players faced a difficult course that was left extremely wet after a very heavy rain. The second round of the tournament was also cancelled due to the inclement weather. The course was played at 6655 yards with a par set at 72.

In the championship flight with a total field of 82 players, Ed Walsworth and Jeff Johnson took first with 8 under par, 64. Mark Archambault and Jeff Spies took second with a score of 66, and B.J. Curry and Joe Bellmar took third place with 67.

In the Net Flight 50-59 division, Bob Gile and David Hohler took first with a score of 59. Rusty Still and Chris Lakin took second with 60, followed by Henry Antolak and Dave Weinbaum with 61.

The Net Flight 60 and over division was led by Robert Schulze and Ed Wiseman with a score of 60. Second place was taken by Bob Blancher and Ron Wilson with 61, and in third was Harold Harrison and Jim Patten with 62.

ABOUT THE Missouri Senior Four-Ball

36-hole four-ball stroke play championship with Championship, Super Senior, and Net (50-59, 60-69, 70+) flights. Entries are open to male amateur golfers who play at clubs or courses who are members of the Missouri Golf Association. Entrants must have reached their 50th birthday by the first day of the championship to compete.
