Stanford commit Talley cruises again, claiming her fifth AJGA Invitational crown
Asterisk Talley didn’t just defend her title at the Fortinet Stanford Invitational hosted by Rose Zhang — she owned the week from the first tee shot.
The No. 2 player in the Rolex AJGA Rankings, Talley (Chowchilla, California) went wire-to-wire at her future college home, finishing 9-under 204 to win by five and claim her fifth AJGA Invitational title. She set the tone immediately with a bogey-free 7-under 64 in the opening round, then backed it up with steady 70-70 to close out the win in rainy final-round conditions.
Talley’s lead never truly wobbled. Even when the chase tightened behind her, she kept playing her own game — the kind of calm, adult golf that has become her signature.
Rina Kawasaki (Palos Verdes Estates, California) and Juliet Oh (Diamond Bar, California) shared runner-up honours at 4-under 209, each posting a career-best AJGA Invitational finish. Oh, a University of Pennsylvania commit, made the biggest late move with a final-round 3-under 68, while Kawasaki stacked 11 birdies over three rounds to open her season in sharp form. Honorine Ferry (Flower Mound, Texas) finished fourth at 3-under 210, with Kuree Little (Palmdale, California) rounding out the top five at 2-under 211.
Talley won this same event by three last year. This time she stretched it to five — and her bigger résumé explains why. In 2025, she played 17 ranked events and won four (Annika Invitational, Fortinet Girls Invitational, Girls Junior PGA Championship and the Elite Invitational). She also made five pro starts, including two majors — The Chevron Championship and the U.S. Women’s Open — and finished runner-up at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, one shot behind Carla Bernat Escuder.

One of the AJGA series of tournaments that require an invitation to participate. Format is 54 holes of stroke play. For girls ages 12-18. Field size is 78. Must be AJGA member.
