Arkansas swept the Blessings Collegiate team titles, but John Daly II’s breakthrough and Avery Weed’s record 14-under headline
Arkansas captured both team titles at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, but Mississippi State’s Avery Weed stole the show with a 14-under, wire-to-wire record—her third career win—while John Daly II was the men’s lone player under par on the Razorbacks’ home course.
Team Title: Arkansas Razorbacks stormed to the men’s crown with a score of 861 (-3), finishing 17 shots clear of Louisville. A strong final round cemented their dominance on their home track.
Individual Champion: Sophomore John Daly II delivered a breakthrough win with 214 (-2), the only player under par in the men’s field. His composed performance at 7,869-yard Blessings Golf Club carried extra meaning on his home course and with his father’s legacy in the backdrop.
Team Title: Arkansas women matched the men, finishing 865 (-8) to claim the program sweep.
Individual Champion: Avery Weed (Mississippi State) set a new tournament record at 202 (-14), capturing her third career win and becoming just the second non-Arkansas player to take the women’s crown. Weed went wire-to-wire, shooting 65–68–69, her first career event with three rounds in the 60s. Her opening 65 tied the lowest round in event history.
The Blessing Collegiate Invitational’s unique format—men’s and women’s squads competing side-by-side on the same course—once again produced drama. The Razorbacks’ double sweep underscored their program strength, while Daly II delivered a personal breakthrough and Weed authored a historic, record-breaking performance that will stand in tournament lore.
