Iyer overcame a three-shot deficit to win by four shots
San Jose State sophomore Avinash Iyer from San Ramon, Calif., shot 13-under with his rounds of 70-69-64 to win the Grapevine Amateur by four shots at Silverado Golf Course in Napa, Calif.
Iyer entered the final round in a tie for third place, having completed his previous rounds with scores of 70-69, reaching a 5-under par total. The tournament saw participation from 102 amateur golfers.
