The ascending Waves won't get the chance to win the NCAA title, but they wind up on top of the prestigious Bushnell Coaches poll

Pepperdine University closes the 2020 college golf season atop the final Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll.

After overtaking Oklahoma to take No. 1 in the prior poll, the season came to a halt, with no further tournaments (or the NCAA championships) scheduled to take place.

The Malibu, California-based Waves won their first two tournaments, and a total of three events during the 2019-20 season. Their most recent victory coming at the Amer Ari Invitational in February.

Pepperdine received 22 first-place votes, followed by second-ranked Oklahoma who received three first-place votes. Texas Tech climbed to third in the ranking.

Wake Forest, Arizona State, Texas A&M, Baylor, and Washington all earned a spot in the top ten.

Tennessee rejoined the ranking at No. 24, while Oklahoma State and UCLA dropped out of the top 25.
