CARLSBAD, CA (July 11, 2018) – Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) announced today that 22-year-old Dylan Meyer, who recently turned professional after a standout college career at the University of Illinois, has joined its Tour Staff. He will play Callaway woods, irons and wedges, an Odyssey Putter, and a Callaway golf ball. Dylan will also wear TravisMathew apparel on and off the course.

“I played with Callaway equipment in college and amateur golf, and I know that this is the best decision for me,” Meyer said. “It was a natural choice to join Callaway, and I have complete confidence in their equipment. And I’m very excited to work with their Tour Team as I start my professional career.”

Before making his pro debut at the U.S. Open, where he finished tied 20th, Meyer was one of the top ranked amateurs in the game. While at the University of Illinois, he was voted First Team All-American and Big Ten Player of The Year, was a six-time individual tournament champion, and won the prestigious 2016 Western Amateur Championship. This past season, Dylan finished T4 at the NCAA Championship, won the 3M Augusta Invitational, and made the cut as an amateur at the PGA Tour’s Valspar Championship.

“Dylan has been a proven winner and one of the best college players in the game,” said Tim Reed, Callaway SVP of Sports Marketing. “We know he has all the tools to be an elite professional player, and we’re thrilled to add another tremendous young player of Dylan’s caliber to our staff.”

“We’ve had our eye on Dylan for a few years now, as his game and personality really aligned with the rest of our staff,” said Travis Brasher, TravisMathew CEO. “We’re thrilled to add another talented, young player like Dylan to our team and think we can have some real fun with him with his unique personal style. We are definitely eager to see him sport TravisMathew both on and off the course.”

Meyer joins an impressive Callaway roster that features major champions like Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia and 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk. He also joins winners on the professional tour like Alex Noren and Marc Leishman, and a stable of exciting young pros, including Xander Schauffele, Daniel Berger, Aaron Wise, Adam Hadwin, Sam Burns, Wesley Bryan, Maverick McNealy, Ollie Schniederjans, Branden Grace, Thomas Pieters, Michelle Wie, Patrick Rodgers, Curtis Luck, Lee McCoy, and Emiliano Grillo.
