Women's Western Amateur: Blackwelder 5 & 4

URBANA, Ill. (June 16, 2007)-- University of Florida sophomore Mallory Blackwelder defeated Sam Houston State's Stefanie Page 5 & 4 to take home the Women's Western Amateur, played at the Stone Creek Golf Club. Blackwelder, whose mother Myra was recently named the University of Kentucky golf coach, had a tougher time in the semi-finals, where she narrowly beat 13-year-old Dottie Arcina of the Phillipines 1-up.
