Williamson wins North and South Amateur

PINEHURST, N.C. (July 7, 2012) -- Dartmouth star Peter Williamson played bogey free golf for 15 holes at the North and South Amateur final, defeating Thomas Bradshaw 4 and 3. Both players were under par early, but it was Williamson who refused to blink as he steady play wore on Bradshaw. A bogey by the Clemson player Bradshaw on the 490-yard par-4 8th hole put him 2-down for the match and then another at the 486-yard par-4 would leave him 3 down. All the while Williams would give no ground to par and when he birdied the 13th hole to go 4-up, he would only need to halve the next two holes for the victory.
