Virginia Am: Paolini prevails in 34 holes

HOT SPRINGS, Va. (June 29, 2013) -- Brinson Paolini bested Ji Soo Park 3-and-2 in the 36-hole championship match to win the 2013 Virginia State Amateur Championship at The Homestead’s Cascades Course. Paolini was 1-down after the morning 18 before turning it on early and often in the afternoon round. Paolini used three straight birdies on Nos. 3, 4 and 5 to turn a 1-down deficit into a 2-up advantage. The former Duke Blue Devil went on to win Nos. 9 and 11 before putting the match out of reach with a par-four on the 34th hole of the match.
