OGDEN, Utah (July 9, 2014) -- Top seed Cole Ogden and No. 2 Kirk Siddens were among those moving on past the first round of matches at the 2014 Utah State Amateur. Five of the other top 10 seeds also advanced as match play got underway Wednesday from Ogden Golf & Country Club. No. 3 Nic Booth was the bracket's first upset, falling to No. 62 Carl Jensen early in action. No. 8 Jason Gates was also upset, falling to No. 57 Mike Jurca.
