Utah State Amateur: Holt holds qualifying lead

OGDEN, Utah (July 7, 2014) -- Jacob Holt shot a first-round 8-under 65 at Valley View Golf Course and leads by three at the 116th Utah State Amateur Championship. Entering Tuesday's second of two stroke-play qualifying rounds, Holt is atop the leaderboard. Devon Purser shot 5-under 67 and is within striking distance of the medalist position.
