USGA's The 9 Discusses the Modernizing of Golf's Rules

(March 10, 2017) -- In the latest episode of USGA's The 9 host Fran Charles talked with the the USGA's Thomas Pagel and Kathryn Belanger about the recently proposed modernization of the Rules of Golf. Announced at the beginning of March the USGA and R&A, "unveiled a preview of proposed new Rules of Golf, as part of a joint initiative to modernize the Rules and make them easier to understand and apply." The announcement began a six-month feedback and evaluation period that will then lead to the rules being finalized in 2018 and put into practice January 1, 2019.
