Bass Tops USGA Senior Am Qualifiers at Feather Sound

Clearwater, FL (August 30, 2006) - Edward Bass, of University Park, fired a 72 at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater to lead three golfers who qualified for the 2006 USGA Senior Amateur Championship. The Championship, for those age 55 and older, will be played from Sept. 16-21 at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Ind. Also qualifying were Michael Walters, of Tampa, who shot 73 and George McLaughlin, from Lecanto, after posting a 75 Edward Bass, University Park, Fla., 72 - Medalist Michael Walters, Tampa, Fla., 73 - Qualified George McLaughlin, Lecanto, Fla., 75 - Qualified Bruce Scamehorn, Winter Haven, Fla., 76 – First Alternate Donald Lucas, Valrico, Fla., 76 – Second Alternate
