Upsets theme of San Francisco City Round of 64

The highest remaining seed is three-seed Isaiah Choi who ran away with his match defeating No. 62 Wanxi Sun 7&6

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 11, 2017) -- Each of the top two-seeds went down on Saturday as upsets controlled the story lines on day one of match play at the San Francisco City Championship hosted by TPC Harding Park. Top-seed Brandon Choe never led in his match against 64-seed Travis Peterson who after leading by as many as 3 up won 2&1. Also going down on Saturday was second-ranked Ashkaan Hakim who fell 2&1 to No. 63 Kyle Wilkinson. In the match Wilkinson took an early lead and never trailed throughout the day. The highest remaining seed is three-seed Isaiah Choi who ran away with his match defeating No. 62 Wanxi Sun 7&6. Choi won the opening hole and then six consecutive holes from Nos. 5-10 before closing out the matches with halves on Nos. 11 and 12. On Sunday the San Francisco City Amateur will continue with the Round of 32 and Round of 16.
