U.S. APL champ Niebrugge wins Wisc. Am

Niebrugge, a rising sophomore at Oklahoma State, continued his hot play after prevailing at last week's U.S. Amateur Public-Links Championship by winning his state amateur. Niebrugge shot rounds of 69-66-71-76 to win his state amateur

SAUKVILLE, WI (July 25, 2013) -- You can blame it on fatigue but given the fact that he's played quite a lot of golf in the last 10 days, who can blame Jordan Niebrugge? In the end, though, the final-round 76 he shot at the Wisconsin State Amateur won't matter much. That's because he won. Niebrugge, a rising sophomore at Oklahoma State, continued his hot play after prevailing at last week's U.S. Amateur Public-Links Championship by winning his state amateur. Niebrugge shot rounds of 69-66-71-76 to win by a shot over Charlie Danielson at The Bog. Quite the week for one of the nation's hottest players.
