Geoff Ogilvy did not think his putting was
where he needed it to be
for the first two months of 2013, so this
week at the Honda Classic,
he put a new Scotty Cameron in his bag.
"I putted really poorly and when you start
putting poorly on those
greens out on the West Coast, you don't
really get your confidence
back when you're out there," Ogilvy said.
"I was hitting the ball
nicely and just not holing any putts."
But that changed at PGA National, thanks
in part to the new
Cameron GoLo putter. Ogilvy finished
second.
"I'm happy with how I'm playing," he said.
Will he keep the new putter in the bag?
Most likely.
"I could always be making more putts," he
said.
Ogilvy also played a new Titleist 712U
prototype 2-iron as well as a
913D2 driver, 913Fd fairway wood, MB
irons, Vokey Design SM4
wedges and a 2013 Pro V1x golf ball.
