Texas North Four-Ball: Maurer/Cook win weather-shortened event

With a blistering 11-under, 61 in round one, Scott Maurer and Peyton Cook successfully defended their North Four-Ball Championship from 2013

ANNA, Texas (March 2, 2014) -- Freezing conditions and an unfavorable forecast at Hurricane Creek Country Club caused the North Four-Ball Championship to be shortened to an 18-hole event. The eventual champions were determined by the results of the first round. With a blistering 11-under, 61 in round one, Scott Maurer and Peyton Cook successfully defended their North Four-Ball Championship from 2013. Finishing two shots back with a 9-under, 63 were Mike Calef and Kevin Somers. The Texas Golf Association would like to thank their North Regional Series sponsor, UST Mamiya, as well as the membership and staff at Hurricane Creek Country Club for their generosity in hosting this year’s championship.
