Swanson leads by seven at Montana State Amateur

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (July 24, 2015) — The Montana State Amateur is through 36 holes at Meadow Lark Country Club in Great Falls, Mont. Leading the way with stellar rounds of 65 and 66 is Tom Swanson of Missoula, Mont. Swanson, a junior at University of Michigan, is off to a fantastic start as he looks to improve upon his runner-up finish last year. Swanson backed up his bogey-free round one with a round that included two eagles on the par-5 9th and 13th holes. Swanson currently holds a seven-shot lead over Payton Taylor and Ryan Porch who each sit at 6-under par. Defending Champion Brandon McIver sits in 5th place at 4-under par. The final round will conclude Saturday as the leaders are set to tee off at 2pm local time.
