JOHNSTOWN, Penn. (June 14 2013) -- Steven
Ihm gained some company atop the
leaderboard at the 2013 Sunnehanna
Amateur.
Tom Lovelady, of the NCAA Champion
Alabama Tide, fired a red-hot 3-under 67 to
jump into a share of the lead with Ihm
entering Saturday's third round.
Ihm led outright with a 66 on Thursday. He
shot 71 to keep pace with a surging field on
Friday.
Lovelady's 67 tied for the round of the day
with former Penn State golfer and current
Walker Cup hopeful Mike Miller.
Miller bounced back from a 2-over 72 on
Thursday to shoot his 67, which moved him
into a tie for fourth place.
Stewart Jolly of Birmingham, who sat alone in
second place after Round 1, shot an even par
70 Friday and is in third place,
just one shot off the lead.
In fourth, Miller is joined by Matthew NeSmith,
Patrick Newcomb, Cory Whitsett and Cameron
Wilson.
