Harrison Endycott on the verge of South Australian Amateur Classic title

ADELAIDE, AUS (March 23, 2016)--Harrison Endycott (-12) has expanded his lead at the South Australian Amateur Classic at the Royal Adelaide Golf Club. Endycott shot the low round of the day, in the third round posting a 5-under par 67 to lead by four. Endycott is looking for his second win this month after winning the Australian Riversdale Cup recently. Beginning the third round with a two-stoke lead Endyoctt birdied the first hole to jump start his round. After a string of pars Endycott birdied No. 9 to shoot 2-under par 35 on the front side. On the back nine Endycott continued to roll as he birdied the 13th before putting the exclamation point on his round with birdies on the final two holes. Endycott played his second bogey free of the tournament. His only bogey thus far came in the second round on the second hole. The closest pursuers in tomorrows final round will be Mitchell Smith (-8) and Curtis Luck (-7). Ben Ferguson (-6) is also in the mix but sits six behind. ROUND TWO RECAP Harrison Endycott (-7) is looking to continue his strong play of late as he leads the South Australia Amateur Classix by two. Endycott won the Australian Riversdale Cup in the middle of March. At the midway point Endycott holds a two stroke lead over the second place tying trio of Mitchell Smith, Ben Ferguson and Chris Park all at 5-under par. Endycott was tied for the lead after an opening day 4-under par 68 at Royal Adelaide Golf Club. On the second day he was able to create some separation thanks to a 69. The Australian started out slow with his first bogey of the tournament on No. 2. Endycott quickly rebounded with a birdie on the third. He then went on to birdie three more holes to conclude his round. Grantley Riches (-3), in fifth place will start the third round four off the lead. Curtis Luck and Blake Windred sit at 3-under par and tied for sixth.
