SF City Qualifier: Corfee, Molinelli lead at 67

A group of amateurgolf.com members top the leaderboard including Jesuit senior Ben Corfee, Stephen Molinelli, Barry Logar and Randy Haag

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (Feb. 25, 2012) -- After the first round of qualifying for the 96th San Francisco City Championship two are tied at the top of the leaderboard. Ben Corfee of El Macero who recently signed to play for UC Davis and 1992 San Francisco City runner-up, Stephen Molinelli lead the field at 5-under-par 67.

Barry Logar of Napa and Northern California legend, Randy Haag are one stroke back at 68. There is a four way tie at 69 between Eddie Newland, Nicolo Galetti, Rick Reinsberg and William Brueckner.

Play continues tomorrow with the top 32 advancing to match play. Historically the defending champion is the number one seed the following year, but Brandon Hagy is not in the field this year.
