Mercer won its second tournament of the season, putting together a two-round, 2-under performance Saturday at the Seminole Intercollegiate

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 15, 2014) -- Mercer won its second tournament of the season, putting together a two-round, 2-under performance Saturday at the Seminole Intercollegiate. The 37th-ranked Bears shot 9-under 279 in the morning at Southwood Golf Course before carding a 7-over 295 to finish the tournament at 8-under 856, six shots ahead of host Florida State and South Florida. The second and third rounds were played Saturday due to Sunday's forecast of inclement weather in Tallahassee, Fla. The Bears have now finished sixth or better in all eight of their events this season. Hans Reimers and James Beale finished second and T-3, respectively, for Mercer. South Florida's Trey Valentine was the individual medalist at 6-under 210.
