Semifinals set at Spanish Int'l Amateur

It's down to four at La Manga Club as the Spanish International Amateur semifinals are set

CARTAGENA, Spain (March 2, 2013) -- The match play portion of the Spanish International Amateur Championship has moved to the semifinals. Neil Raymond, the No. 9 seed, is scheduled to take on Edouard Amacher, who has moved to the final four as the No. 29 seed of 32. Reeve Whitson, seeded 11th, will take on No. 18 Adrien Saddier. Saddier was a 5-and-3 winner over Borja virto in quarterfinal action. Whitson knocked off Jamie Rutherford, the No. 3 seed, who contended for the medalist position in the event's 36-hole stroke-play qualifier. Raymond advanced with a 4-and-2 win over Jordan Smith. Amacher moved on in the compeition with a 3-and-2 win over Hampus Bergman in the quarterfinals. Competition rolls on at La Manga Club with the 36-hole finale slated for Sunday.
