Semifinals set at San Francisco City

Upsets continue to rule 'The City' as the remaining top seeds fall on another wild weekend

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (March 2, 2014) -- Shintaro Ban won yet again to continue his march towards the championship match at the 2014 San Francisco City Championship at Presidio Golf Course. Ban, who knocked off defending champion and top seed Will Brueckner last weekend, beat Ryan Gronlund in Sunday's quarterfinals and will move to next Saturday's semifinals where he'll face No. 4 seed Ryan Knop. Knop defeated Miguel Delgado, 3-and-2, Sunday to advance. On the other side of the bracket, Ryan Wilson continued his run to the finals after starting as the No. 47 seed. He defeated Ian Coffman, 4-and-3, in Sunday's quarterfinal and advanced to face Rick Reinsberg. Reinsberg, of course, defeated No. 3 seed Justin Suh, who entered the weekend as the lowest remaining seed. Reinsberg, seeded 27th, beat Suh 3-and-2 to take the final semifinal spot. The San Francisco City Championship continues and wraps up next weekend at Presidio Golf Course with the semifinals on Saturday and finals scheduled for Sunday.
