INDIANA, Pa. — The semifinal matchups at the 12th annual Pennsylvania Jay Sigel Match Play Championship were set for Wednesday morning at Indiana Country Club. Among the final four is four-time U.S. Mid-Amateur winner Nathan Smith of Pittsburgh. Smith, the five-seed, secured two 3-and-2 victories on Tuesday. He'll face Indiana native Matt Holuda, a sophomore at Rutgers, on Wednesday morning. Holuda captured the largest upset of the tournament when he knocked off the medalist Rick Stimmel in a 1-up victory in the first round. In Tuesday afternoon's round, Holuda handed a 3-and-2 defeat to recent Western Pennsylvania Amateur winner Easton Renrick. Arnie Cutrell will face Doug Gradwell in the lower half of the bracket.
