SAMMAMISH, Wash. (July 1, 2014) -- Mark Anguiano shot a third-round 69 and takes a one-shot lead into Wednesday's final round at the 2014 Sahalee Player Championship at Sahalee Country Club.
Anguiano, who plays at Cal State Fullerton, shared the lead after 36 holes on Monday's opening day of play but rose out of a three-way tie to capture the lead for himself.
He sits a shot better than rising UNLV golfer Kirt Kitayama, who shot a second-straight 68 to slide into second place entering Wednesday's finale.
First-round co-leader Byron Meth, who plays at Pacific University, carded a third-round 74 and slipped into a tie for third alongside James Beale (Mercer) and Corey Pereira (Washington). Pereira shot 69 Tuesday to climb the leaderboard.
In sixth place are Tae Koh from New Zealand and Owen Taylor of Sacramento State. Both players carded 69s on Tuesday.
Jay Hwang, the final co-leader after Round 1, stumbled to a third-round 77 and is tied for ninth place.
