Bob Niger of El Dorado Hills fires rounds of 66-69=135, then defeats Arvo Voip in sudden-death for the title

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 25, 2006) -- Bob Niger, of El Dorado Hills, successfully defended as 2005 Champion. After Saturday's round, Niger was tied with Benjamin Choe, of Scottsdale at 66. Niger finished Sunday's round with a 69, tying Arvo Voip of Magalia for a total 135. The 1st hole at MacKenzie began the sudden death playoff. Niger drove 250 down the middle, while Voip drove 270 to the right rough. Niger then played his 3-wood to the green, 20 feet past the pin. Voip was forced to lay up from the rough. Lying 3 on the green, Voip missed the 12-foot birdie putt to make par. Niger putted for eagle, missing to 2 feet, made the birdie to secure the win.
