Round 1 delayed at North Carolina Senior Amateur

Due to unplayable wet course conditions at Oak Valley Golf Club, the North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship has been shortened to a 36-hole event

Advance, NC (May 15, 2012) - Due to unplayable wet course conditions at Oak Valley Golf Club, the North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship has been shortened to a 36-hole event. Round 1 has been pushed back to Wednesday, May 16. Championship will be a 36-hole event. Players use their original round 1 starting time on Wednesday and original round 2 starting time on Thursday. There will not be a cut. Course will open for practice rounds on Tuesday after 12:00pm. Call the Oak Valley Golf Shop at 336-940-2000 to schedule a starting time. North Carolina Senior Amateur Championship Updated Schedule (subject to change):Monday, May 14: course closed due to wet conditionsTuesday, May 15: practice rounds available after 12:00pm.Wednesday, May 16: Round 1. Use original round 1 starting time.Thursday, May 17: Round 2. Use original round 2 starting time. Top 30 receive merchandise.
