Red figures abound at Nebraska State Amateur

From the Nebraska Golf Association NORFOLK, Neb. (July 21, 2014) -- Birdies were plenty during the first round of the 106th Nebraska Amateur Championship Monday at Norfolk Country Club. Five players are tied atop the leaderboard, including 1999 Champion David Clouse of Friend. Joining Clouse at the top are 2004 Nebraska Match Play Champion at Norfolk Country Club Travis Minzel of Lincoln, Josh Reinertson of Gibbon, Renen Sahr of Gordon, and Greg Stanek of Bellevue. Twelve players are under par after 18 holes.
