PANORA, Iowa (May 11, 2012) -- Ben Peters of Bettendorf carded a 68 to take a one stroke lead after 18 holes at the Iowa Mid-Amateur Championship. Near perfect conditions made for a pleasant day of golf at Lake Panorama National Golf Course in Panora. Joel Yunek leads the Senior Division after an even-par 72.
Fresh on Peters' heels is 2008 champion Jon Brown of Urbandale who fired a 3-under 69 and defending champion Jon Olson of Ankeny who went round in 70 strokes. The three will be paired together in Saturday's final round.
Joining Yunek in the final group of Senior Division players will be Andy Burton of Des Moines and Chris Mugge of Urbandale who stand only one shot behind after posting 73
