Pasadena City: Fitzgerald leads after 1st round

Kevin Fitzgerald, a former golfer at UC Riverside, leads a group of four players tied for second against one of Southern California's top fields

PASADENA, Calif. (May 16, 2014) -- Kevin Fitzgerald shot a 1-under 71 and leads all players at the 2014 Pasadena City Championship. Fitzgerald, a former golfer at UC Riverside, leads a group of four players tied for second against one of Southern California's top fields. Jason Pridmore, Patrick Carrigan, Evan Kim and Anthony Kim all shot 72 and share second place heading into the second round of the highly-competitive event. Pridmore, of course, is a 21-time winner in American Motorcycle Association events, and a talented golfer in regional and national events. Joshua Shou, Bobb Arranga and Jonathan Lai are tied for sixth place, sitting just two shots back of Fitzgerald. Defending champion Brennan Amirkhizi is three shots back in a tie for 10th after shooting 74. Tim Hogarth, a dominant amateur in the region, shot 75 in Round 1.
