Late in Round 2 of the 36-hole qualifier, Brandt-Richards remains atop the leaderboard

PULLMAN, Wash. (July 7, 2014) -- Dale Brandt-Richards followed his opening-round 64 with a stellar 3-under 67 and stands poised to earn medalist honors at the 2014 Pacific Northwest Amateur Championship at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Brandt-Richards, from Australia, cleared Cole Madley and Tom Swanson by five shots. Hans Reimers was also 6-under through 13 holes in his second round at the time of this report. Greg Gildea, Jesse Heinly, Northwestern signee Dylan Wu and elite northwest junior Frank Garber were all four shots off the leading pace late in the day at Palouse Ridge Golf Club. Following Monday's second round of stroke-play qualifying, the low 64 players will advance to the match-play portion of the event. The PNGA Amateur began in 1899 and calls Tiger Woods and Ben Crane among its impressive list of past champions. For a full-look at the second-round leaderboard, please follow the results link below.
