TUCSON, Ariz. -- The spring college golf season is underway at the Arizona Intercollegiate held at the par-71, 7,262 yard Sewailo Golf Club.
The defending National Champion Oregon Ducks were four-shots ahead of the field when play was suspended due to darkness.
The Ducks opened with a first round total of 293 and are 7-over with four holes remaining in the second round. Their 16-over total currently leads Cal Berkeley by four shots and University of Washington by five. Pepperdine is also lurking just seven shots back.
Oregon is being led by redshirt senior Wyndham Clark who fired a 1-under 70 during the opening round and is even-par through 14 holes of his second round. Clark is the only player under-par and is leading the individual race by three shots over New Mexico's Andre Garcia and Cal Berkeley's William Aldred.
Two other Ducks are inside the top-20 including sophomore Edwin Yi at T11 (+5) and freshman Norman Xiong at T19 (+6).
Play is set to resume at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday morning as teams will conclude their second rounds and begin the final round immediately after.
