NOW PLAYING: Pepperdine defends title at Valspar Collegiate

The Waves return to the Floridian to join a stacked field that features seven top-25 teams

The Valspar Collegiate Invitational teed off Monday morning at the par-71, 6,943-yard Floridian in Palm City, Fla. The 54-hole tournament will see a long 36-hole day on Monday, with the final 18 played on Tuesday, March 28.

FIELD

In addition to No. 10 Pepperdine, the stacked field features seven top-25 teams, including No. 2 Arizona State, No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Texas Tech, No. 6 Florida State, No. 11 Texas, No. 14 Texas A&M, No. 20 Georgia Southern, along with Northwestern, Ohio State, Wake Forest, Duke, plus Houston, Marquette, Minnesota and Lamar.

2022 EVENT

Pepperdine was able to take the tournament title in 2022 after shooting 34-under. The squad led Florida State, who finished second, 14-strokes behind the Waves. Dylan Menante of Pepperdine finished first as well with a 14-under. Waves Joe Highsmith and William Mouw each finished in the top 10, Mouw with a 6-under 207.
