It is with great sorrow to express that Alameda’s Bob Blomberg passed away this afternoon. Bob is one of the great Commuters champions winning 6 Commuters titles. More information will be posted on the Commuters web page on Bob’s contribution to the Alameda Commuters and his stellar accomplishments - Bob was a great ambassador!

In 2001, Bob was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Northern California Golf Association, for his 30 years of stalwart play, great golf sportsmanship and for always behaving like a true gentleman. Bob's on- course demeanor and the way he relates to his fellow competitors exemplify the true spirit of the dedicated amateur golfer.
