Andy Sajevic of Fremont overcame a four shot deficit to claim his second straight state title

OMAHA, Neb. (July 21, 2011) -- Andy Sajevic of Fremont overcame a four shot deficit to claim his second straight state amateur championship Thursday at Shadow Ridge Country Club. Sajevic's 3-under par 69 moved him to 2-over par for the championship, two shots better than 2002 champion, Ryan Nietfeldt of Omaha and 1989 champion, John Sajevic of Fremont, Andy's father. 54-hole leader, Tad Leistico of Omaha shot 77 and finished fourth at 6 over par. Mitchell Klooz of Plainview was recognized as the tournament's low junior finishing at 11-over par, one shot better than 2011 Junior Amateur champion, Drew Taylor of Omaha. Klooz will be a sophomore at Plainview High School in the fall. Sajevic will be a junior at North Carolina-Charlotte
